Barrie Caribfest is looking for Volunteers

The Caribbean festival (Caribfest) 2010 will be held at Centennial Park August 13th, 14th and 15th. Putting together an event such as Caribfest would not be possible without the dedication of many volunteers. We are looking for people to join the volunteer team and come experience the Caribbean as they contribute to the development of the city. We need volunteers in all area of the event’s operation. Volunteering at Caribfest is also a great opportunity to develop your resume, learn new skills and meet new people!

Being a volunteer has many perks such as getting free access to world-known Caribbean artists, complimentary authentic Caribbean cuisine, and a volunteer thank you barbeque after the event. This is also a perfect opportunity for area high school students to get their volunteer hours while gaining a greater appreciation of different cultures and having fun. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the volunteer coordinator, Heidi Hoell, at volunteer@caribfest.ca o…
