TruDYNASTY Carnival changing the face of Toronto Caribbean Carnival

TruDYNASTY Carnival changing the face of Toronto Caribbean Carnival
Toronto, ON (Apr. 23,2012) –
The TruDYNASTY team is at it again! This year they have made peace with both sides and present to you “The Best of Both Worlds”

This juxtaposition of good and evil displays the intriguing balance that exists within the human realm. Presenting 7 sections for the road, TruDYNASTY has remained consistent in providing visually appealing costumes for both masqueraders and spectators.

Each section has a unique essence coupled with thematic characteristics that push the boundaries of costume design, while still incorporating traditional masquerade qualities. TruDYNASTY is constantly striving to regenerate the true meaning of the Carnival vibe by welcoming a family atmosphere in the mas camp, that also resonates through their service. Volunteers flock to the mas camp yearly to get their hands glued and glittered, as they become involved in creating everything from backline costumes, headpieces as well as costumes for the King & Queen.

The community outreach of TruDYNASTY has also involved young men in a local detention facility to create and build their own section. Co-creator & designer Thea Jackson dedicates several hours every week to involving these young men in this fulfilling program; an experience that she finds enriching. The husband/wife team of Thea and Dario Jackson, are the foundation of the TruDYNASTY family and a ready to welcome you into the family.
