Sneak Peek Alert - Tribal Knights "Moulin Rouge" @ Fire Fete

Hey Readers,
According to Tribal Knights latest newsletter, all you eager masqueraders, hungry for anything Caribana costume related, can now catch a glimpse of the section entitled "Moulin Rouge" at Fire Fete on April 3, 2010. (I see.....corsets and cancan skirts......maybe something like this.....what do you think?)

With Spring brings new life...

On Saturday April 3rd, 2010 Dexter Seusahai's Tribal Knights will be showcasing a sneak peak of the themed section: MOULIN ROUGE inside FIRE FETE!

Its time to turn off the lights.....

Spring has Sprung

Hey readers,
I guess by now you all have seen all the posts and resulting comments and opinions from far and wide in regards to the TMBA and Tribe Toronto. I have nothing to add (LOL). I can't really comment on things that I know very little about. As a masquerader, I am just waiting for all this melee to be over with so we can get to the real bacchanal......BAND LAUNCH SEASON!!! Spring has sprung in Toronto and the band launches start next month.....check my previous post for all the confirmed dates so far.

In related news, XPATS will host their Section Launch on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Meadowvale Community Centre, 6655 Glen Erin Dr., Mississauga. XPATS are a part of the Saldenah Crew and their section is called "Portraits of Autumn".

Another section from Saldenah is looking for models for the band's launch on Saturday, May 8, 2010. The section is "Portraits of Paradise" If interested send an email to portraitsofparadise@gmail.com. Females should send a face, full body, and bikini pic and males a face, and full body pic.

Carnival Nationz call for models


Carnival Nationz has commenced their search for male and female models to showcase their 2010 Caribana presentation entitled "SPARROW.....d'legend." If you're interested, send your face and bathing suit body shot to modelsearch@carnivalnationz.com by Saturday, March 20, 2010.

This year's Carnival Nationz band launch is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Sound Academy and I can't wait....woohoo!!!

Black Sage call for models

Black Sage (formerly Nip Davis and Scarborough Caribbean Sports Club) is looking for models for their 2010 Caribana photo shoot.

Here's the FB message:
"The new Web sit for Black Sage Carnival(formerly Nip Davis and SCSC), should be up and rolling by the end of march. All Call out to volunteer models for our Photo shoot for caribana 2010 costumes. Caribana Excitement


Is anybody else super-excited about the upcoming Caribana Band Launch Season??? I can't wait for it to start. Any little piece of news from the mascamps sends me into tizzy. In keeping with that, here's some info from the Saldenah crew.......the launch date is May 8, 2010 and will be held at Embers Banquet Hall
